I got another letter from TV licensing today

To begin with, do you need to buy a television licence? In short, you can do as you please. However, be aware that the anti-British BBC will have you in prison if you don't subsidise their lunatic agenda. You can indeed discuss TV licensing matters here. Obviously, post here if you have an issue with your TV licence.

I got another letter from TV licensing today

Today I got yet another letter from TV licensing today.
It was addressed to me after months of getting them sent to The Occupier.
I think at one time they were sent to The Legal Occupier but since I throw them away unopened I can't be sure.
So why out of the blue do I get them to my name?
I don't open their mail but I know its from them as it has their return address on the back of their brown envelope.
On the front it says 'will you be in on the 10th of November?'.
I will be with my mobile phone at the ready.
I might start saving these up and do them for harassment

I can answer this question: TV Licensing is currently paying a market research company called Acxiom to get the names of the occupiers of unlicensed properties.
I've written more about this here: http://tv-licensing.blogspot.co.uk/2017 ... sting.html
The advice: Keep ignoring the letters. They are still TV Licensing kite flying, albeit a bit more personalised now.

Yeah, apparently the councils will also sell information too from the electoral register.

Yip, all the more reason to refuse them to make sure they don't capitalise further.

I wouldn't save them up, just recycle them properly.
Or better still, do what they did in the olden days and use them as bog paper.

Well, yes and no, it depends how you want to view it.
From what I understand, there is the Open Electoral Register then there is the Full Version.
The open electoral register is available to anyone who wants it but you can opt out if you tell them.
So the open register will include people if they don't opt out.

The full version is not available to most people and is used by 'other authorities' such as political parties.
This version has almost everyone on it who has registered to vote.
However, anyone can inspect the full version under supervision at the councils or libraries.

There must also be a third version of the electoral register because you can register without your name appearing on either.
People can do this if they feel they could get into difficulties if they are on the main ones.
In other words, they keep their right to vote but do so anonymously.
